Sitelinks
Sitelinks are the additional page links that Google sometimes displays beneath your main search result, usually on branded searches. They are generated automatically from your own site structure and cannot be requested, only influenced through clear architecture and good navigation.
Why it matters for your rankings
Sitelinks multiply the space your result occupies and let searchers jump straight to what they want. On a branded query they can push competitors and review sites well below the fold.
You cannot force them. Google generates sitelinks when it is confident about your site's structure, which means clear navigation, sensible internal linking and unambiguous page titles are the levers available. Sites with confusing architecture or near-identical page titles rarely get them. The one direct control is removal: if Google surfaces a page you would rather not feature, improving the target page or restructuring internal links is the practical response, since the old demotion tool was retired.
How to check it on your site
Search your brand name
Check whether sitelinks appear and whether the pages shown are the ones you would choose.
Clarify your site structure
A clean main navigation with distinct sections is the strongest signal Google uses to generate them.
Give pages unique, descriptive titles
Near-identical titles across pages make it harder for Google to pick sitelink candidates.
Strengthen internal linking to key pages
Pages you want featured should be prominently and consistently linked from the homepage.
